You are reading the main page for the wiki that will be used to navigate the Phagehunting Program. From here you can find all the pages that have been posted to the wiki, edit any of them (regardless of who created them), and even create new pages!

Phamerator

We will use this wiki to make our microbiology and  bioinformatics protocols available to you. In the meantime, if you want to get a head start at looking at the genomes of bacteriophages that infect Mycobacterium smegmatis, check out the online version of our bioinformatics tool, Phamerator.

2008 Phagehunter Teacher Workshop

The 2008 summer Teacher Workshop was a sweet success. In addition to adding a great microbiology/virus lab to their curriculum, the teacher participatns contributed to the science of the Hatfull lab by annotating and analyzinf the genomes of 5 novel bacteriophages: Fruitloop, Pacc40, Ramsey, Solon, and Troll4.  Look for them in Genbank!  refer to the 2007 workshop link for resource materials or here for new materials addressed in this year's workshop.
