How to Apply for the Phagehunter Program as an Undergraduate?
There are 2 ways to participate in Dr. Graham Hatfull's Phagehunter Program at the University of Pittsburgh. One is during the fall and spring semesters as a Fellow in the program, receiving a stipend of $1000/semester. The other is as a a Fellow during the summer. Both require the same application , transcripts, and an e-mail. Once received, all pieces are received, we will contact you.
Fall/Spring Program Fellowship key features:
- Flexible scheduling
- Mentoring duties of one 3-hour after school time slot
- independent research of your own phage
- Ability to learn microbiology and molecular biology techniques
Summer Program Fellowship key features:
- Independent research of your own phage
- Ability to learn microbiology and molecular biology techniques
- One-on-one mentoring
- Generous stipend - $4000.00
- 325 flexible hour time commitment
- Notebook Meetings
- Mentor training
- Application for summer 2009 is not available at thsi time.
